| Synopsis: Teenage Misha receives hypnotic
treatment for sleepwalking from psychotherapist Volkov. Eventually, Misha becomes so dependent
on the hypnologist that he is no longer able to distinguish
reality from illusion. After the mysterious death of one
of Volkov's lady patients, Misha decides to investigate
the case and find out the truth. But what
can he do when dream and reality have become one and he
himself is the chief suspect?

The funny thing about working with Valery
Todorowski is that he never gives you the film to watch with a
reference temp score as it usually goes. Instead, he describes
the main themes needed for the picture with bright images. On
the one hand, it is a much more creative project, than trying
to compete with the reference score. But on one hand, it is a
much more difficult and long process to create the whole music
soundscapes from scratch. Trying to reproduce what the
director's "bright images" could sound like. When Valery told
me to write "hypnotic music," I wasn't quite sure what he
meant. The first sketches were made in the direction of
psychological thriller, so I wrote music with tension,
anxiety, fear... I called this theme "dark hypnosis". But
Valery said: "No, not that, too specific and harsh. I need a
state where you don't understand whether this is reality or a
dream." It was necessary to find the exact sounding of the
inner state, the source of which was the story. Without this,
everything could be fake.
