New exclusive piece has been added to the audio section. "Glorioso for Ironclad featuring the Dufay Collective" offers rare opportunity to hear the piece submitted for movie IRONCLAD, which will be (according to unconfirmed news) scored by Lorne Balfe, who has been working with Hans Zimmer on some of his recent projects including videogame Modern Warfare 2, as well as programming and writing additional music for movies such as Angels and Demons, The Dark Knight and Madagaskar 2. Glorioso for Ironclad is performed by choir Dufay Collective, which specialises in early music and you can read more about this group on their official website.

While recording his short orchestral scores for two CARLING commercials last October, Guy Farley was interviewed and the sessions filmed. The video featuring this interview and various shots from the recording sessions at Air Lyndhurst Hall is finally available for you to watch in the Interview section or below.
The video was commissioned and edited for promotional purposes of the composer by Music Sales, which publishes Guy Farley's scores. The video shouldn't be shared and re-uploaded anywhere without prior consent.

During last few months Guy Farley was focusing more on scoring short adds for CARLING and COMPARE THE MEERKAT campaigns. You can watch successful commercial 'The Journey of Courageousness' here. The theme used was originally intended as the theme for 1999's WALK WITH LIONS but wasn't used. It was recorded last year as one of the three CARLING commercials but only two of them were finished and this theme therefore found its place in COMPARE THE MEERKAT commercials. Unfortunatelly due to time limitations the THE JOURNEY OF COURAGEOUSNESS wasn't recorded with the live orchestra but "only" studio samples. The music was composed by Guy Farley and produced by composer Christopher Slaski. On the other hand, Guy Farley also produced music for MARKS AND SPENCER Christmas commercials, which was composed by Christopher Slaski.

There are some new film projects currently being discussed but none of them has been confirmed yet. In the meantimne ROAR is getting released on the DVD and you can watch the trailer (featuring Guy Farley's music from the movie) below:

Due to his work on upcoming british comedy THE FLIRTING CLUB, Guy Farley won't be able to attended planned signing at Dark Del scheduled for September 22nd. The event will still continue with director/writter John Harrison who will be signing BOOK OF BLOOD CDs, DVDs and BDs. You can still get your CD signed by the director and Guy Farley if you place your order through La-La Land's website.

In the meantime you can finally listen to four cues from unused score for TSOTSI in the audio section. Here is what Guy Farley said about his music and the whole situation around this movie:
"This was my re-score for the producers of the movie and was not part of the commercial release of the film where the first score was used. I'm not sure if you know the full story but in very simple terms the director chose his composers to score the film and fiercely stood by this score. I was commissioned by the producers to write a new score which they attempted to make final but after Tsotsi starting winning awards with the original music there was no way my score was going to have a chance, especially without the directors support. In fact he never heard my score."
